Privacy policy

Written in plain English by the person who runs the service. It has not yet been independently reviewed by Australian legal counsel; the wording may change while the practices described remain those in place today.
Northstack LLC operates Quick Roof. We collect the information needed to run the service and nothing more. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what your rights are under the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: name, email, business name, country, currency and GST mode, collected during sign-up and onboarding.
- Quote data you create: customer details, scope, cost lines, prices and margins. This is your data.
- Accounting connection tokens: the OAuth tokens used to create drafts in Xero or QuickBooks Online. You sign in on the provider's own site, so we receive a token rather than your password.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. Stripe stores card details.
- Error and performance data: captured by Sentry to keep the app working. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
To provide the service: render quotes, calculate margin, send quotes to your customers, create drafts in your books when you ask us to, charge your subscription, and contact you about your account. We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
3. Who we share it with
- Stripe for billing.
- Clerk for sign-in.
- Resend to deliver quote emails to your customers.
- Xero or Intuit only when you have connected your books and send a quote, and only the details needed to create the draft.
- Sentry for error monitoring.
- Vercel and our managed Postgres provider for application hosting and data storage.
4. Where data is stored
Service data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database. Accounting access tokens receive application-level encryption before storage. We use access controls and encrypted transport to protect data as it moves between your browser, Quick Roof and connected providers.
5. Your rights
You can request a copy or deletion of your account data by emailing privacy@quickroof.app. We retain data while your account is active and only as long afterwards as needed for legal, security, billing and service-recovery obligations. We will confirm any retention that applies when handling your request.
